AUSTRALIAN CLINICAL TRIALS TO COMMENCE

Australia's Professor Avni Sali plans to conduct joint clinical trials of NGPDT on cancer patients beginning in November/December at his clinic in Melbourne Australia. The results of the trial will be documented by highly respected cancer specialists with peer review to be performed by some of Australia's most senior, internationally recognized cancer experts.

The clinical trials will be done with the oversight of a Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) approved by the National Health and Medical Research Council of Australia. HREC approved protocols are currently being finalized with HREC approval for the light treatment devices and PDT agent to follow. Patients with some common and serious cancers, some of which are metastatic, will be chosen to take part in the trials using the NGPDT technology. Professor Sali is a well respected physician and the oversight physicians who will report on the results of the clinical trial are some of the most respected cancer physicians in Australia.

Professor Avni Sali is the Foundation Director of National Institute of Integrative Medicine in Melbourne. He was the Founding Head of the Graduate School of Integrative Medicine, Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne. Prior to this appointment he was Head of the University of Melbourne, Department of Surgery at the Heidelberg Hospital, in Melbourne. He is President of the International Council of Integrative Medicine (ICIM) and the immediate past president of the Australasian Integrative Medicine Association (AIMA).In addition he holds various positions in several other organizations. He has served as a director of the Victorian Public Health Research and Education Council and on the Federal Government Complementary Health Care Consultative Forum. Professor Sali is also on the Federal Government Expert Assessment Panel for the National Institute of Complementary Medicine. Professor Sali was President of the Gawler Foundation from 1999 until 2002 and is currently a Board Member. The Gawler Foundation was the equal first cancer support organization, the other being the Bristol Cancer Help Centre in the UK ,they were established in 1981. Professor Sali has served on its board since its inception.



LIMITED VIETNAMESE CLINICAL TRIALS COMMENCING SOON

NGPDT APAC is also authorized, under a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Institute for reproductive and family health (RAFH) of Vietnam in Association with the National Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital in Hanoi, to conduct joint clinical trials for three common female cancers.



MEETING WITH MALAYSIAN MINISTER OF HEALTH

On 28th March 2011, the International Cancer Therapy and Regenerative Medical Centre presented Next Generation PDT to the Minister of Health of Malaysia and a team of experts. Our thanks to YB Dato' Sri Liow and his team for providing us with their input on introducing NGPDT to Malaysia.
